There’s plenty to see and do during your stay at South Downs Eco Lodge & Camping. Set within the South Downs National Park and directly on the South Downs Way, our location is ideal for exploring the countryside on foot or by bike.
With woodland walks and trails from our doorstep, as well as beautiful routes through the surrounding Meon Valley, you can enjoy days of adventure without needing to travel far.
Walks & Outdoor Adventures
With 55 acres of woodland and grounds to explore, there’s plenty of space to enjoy nature close to home.
Just a short walk from the Centre are Old Winchester Hill Nature Reserve, Butser Hill, Queen Elizabeth Country Park and the historic village of East Meon, as well as a network of footpaths and bridleways with wonderful views across the South Downs.
Explore Local History
The surrounding area is full of fascinating places to discover. Visit Butser Ancient Farm to step back into the past, explore the historic cities of Winchester and Chichester, or discover the history of Portsmouth at the Historic Dockyard.
There are also museums and attractions including the Weald & Downland Living Museum, SeaCity Museum and Beaulieu within easy reach.

For a family day out, head to Queen Elizabeth Country Park and Butser Hill, explore the ancient landscape at Butser Ancient Farm, or venture further afield to discover more of Hampshire and the South Coast.
